After much soul searching and discussion, I have made the difficult decision to relocate from Ohio to my hometown of San Diego, California.

This decision was a hard one to come to. My future as a doula and birth worker depends on this move. I experienced transphobia and queer phobia in my short time as a birth worker in the midwest. I felt the need to constantly keep my identity closeted. This was not a healthy situation for me mentally or financially. I am excited to start my new journey in San Diego, and connect with local birth workers who will respect my gender. I am so lucky to of spent my time in Ohio with such a loving and wonderful group of friends and my partner. But in the end I made this decision for myself, and I'm thrilled to see what my time in San Diego my bring to my birth work.
